Interested in working at Camp Alvernia? You should be! It’s a fantastic place to spend a summer. There aren’t many summer jobs where you get to work outside, have fun, and know you’ve made an impact on a child’s life that they’ll remember forever.
Special Note to Parents
If you would like your child to work at Camp Alvernia, please ask them to take responsibility for their own job application process. Working at Alvernia is a serious commitment, and it is important that our staff are personally accountable for their job application and performance. For this reason Camp Alvernia does not speak to parents about jobs for their children.
Staff are hired on the basis of merit and at the best judgment and discretion of the camp administration. Applicants must be at least 15 years old by the first day of camp to be considered for a CIT (counselor-in-training) position. Applicants must be at least 17 years old by the first day of camp to be considered for a counselor position. No preference will be granted to former Camp Alvernia campers or friends/relatives of Camp Alvernia staff. Camp Alvernia does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, age, gender identity or expression or transgender status, or non-disqualifying physical or mental disability.
